Most of my photographs are captured throughout Marlborough and New Zealand. From the Marlborough Sounds and Grovetown Lagoon to coastlines, mountain ranges, wildflowers, and wetlands, I'm always exploring with a camera in hand.
-
Because it's home.
Marlborough is an incredible place for photography. We have dramatic coastlines, peaceful estuaries, rolling vineyards, native wildlife, and some beautiful light throughout the year. The more I explore, the more I discover.
-
Not at all.
While landscapes are a big part of my work, I'm equally passionate about nature photography, wildlife, flowers, and macro photography. One day I might be photographing a sunrise over the Sounds, and the next I could be focused on a bee collecting pollen from a flower.
-
Flowers are full of colour, texture, and fascinating detail. I enjoy finding unique ways to photograph them and showing the beauty that's often overlooked when we simply walk past. Some of my favourite images come from ordinary flowers viewed in an extraordinary way.
-
Many of them are found right here in Marlborough. Local gardens such as Pollard Park and Seymour Square, reserves, wetlands, and even roadside wildflowers can provide amazing opportunities for macro photography. Sometimes the best subjects are closer than you think.
-

For me, it's the feeling it creates. A great landscape photograph isn't just a record of a location. It's about capturing the atmosphere, light, and emotion of a moment in nature.
-
Nature slows us down. Whether it's a misty morning in the Marlborough Sounds, the intricate details of flowers, a bee covered in pollen or the first light of sunrise across the hills, those small moments are what inspire me most.
