About Grant Udy

Grant Udy is a Blenheim based photographer specialising in landscapes, seascapes, nature, and fine art prints inspired by the Marlborough region. His work is known for its calm, natural style capturing the Marlborough Sounds, Picton Foreshore, local wildlife, and the seasonal beauty of nearby vineyards with clarity and care.

Grant began photographing seriously in 2019 after years working in the Marlborough wine industry, where he developed a strong appreciation for detail, colour, and the changing seasons. That background now shapes the way he approaches every image, whether it’s a sweeping coastal scene or a close‑up macro study of the natural world.

Since joining the Marlborough Camera Club in 2020, Grant has progressed from C Grade to A Grade and earned recognition in the 2024, 2025 and 2026 NZ Amateur Photography Awards. These achievements reflect his commitment to producing high quality, thoughtful work.
