Matua Sauvignon Blanc 50th Anniversary – Event Photography

For more than a decade, I’ve had the privilege of being part of the TWE and Matua team, contributing to a workplace and a culture that have shaped so much of my professional life. Over the years, I’ve watched Matua continue to innovate, evolve, and celebrate the heritage that has made it one of New Zealand’s most recognisable wine brands. This year, I had the rare opportunity to bring together two parts of my world, my long-standing role within the company and my deep passion for photography, by documenting Matua’s Sauvignon Blanc 50th Anniversary.

Capturing this milestone was more than just an assignment, it felt like a personal honour. Matua’s story is woven through decades of craftsmanship, dedication, and community, and I wanted my images to reflect that legacy. Every frame was approached with intention, whether it was the energy of the VIP celebration, the pride shared among colleagues at the team event, or the quiet details that often go unnoticed but speak volumes about Matua’s identity. My photographs are not simply pictures; they are visual narratives that hold emotion, history, and the spirit of the people behind the brand.

The selection I’m sharing here represents only a small portion of the full collection. Across both events, I captured hundreds of moments, candid interactions, meaningful details, and scenes that highlight the significance of reaching fifty years of Sauvignon Blanc excellence. These images are a snapshot of a much larger story, one that honours Matua’s past while celebrating the people who continue to shape its future.

Creating these photographs was a genuine joy. It allowed me to contribute something lasting, something that preserves the essence of this milestone for years to come.
